April Volunteer Opportunities at the Foundry!

Volunteer at the Foundry and receive a complimentary ticket to the Foundry sponsored event of your choice!
(Must volunteer for a minimum of 6 hours to receive complimentary ticket)

Volunteers are needed for the following events:


“Big Night” The Movie and The Feast ~ Saturday, April 14, 2012 The Nevada City Film Festival, Miners Foundry Cultural Center, and The Old 5 Mile House present “Big Night”,  an exciting and unique cinematic, dining, and cultural experience. “The movie and the feast” pairs the critically acclaimed, modern day classic film “Big Night” with a traditional Italian feast just like the one in the film.   The evening’s featured film will be screened in the historic Osborn/Woods Hall at the Miners Foundry where state of the art projection and sound will be brought in for your viewing pleasure.  Following the film, dinner will be hosted in the beautiful Stone Hall.  Volunteers are needed in the Box Office, and to serve as Ushers, Dishwashers, and Bussers.



Tim O'Connor

Reader’s Theatre ~ Sunday, April 15, 2012 The Miners Foundry is proud to present Reader’s Theatre, directed by Tim O’Connor, on April 15, 2012.   Four stories by George Orwell, Joan Didion, James Thurber and Sherwood Anderson will be read by four local performers.  This production of Reader’s Theatre will feature David Iorns, Bruce Kelly, and Harriet Totten.   All proceeds of this event will directly benefit the Miners Foundry Cultural Center.   Volunteers are needed in the Box Office.

Administrative Support ~ Tuesday, April 17 & Wednesday, April 18, 2012 Volunteers are needed to help with a project in the Foundry office.



Cat Stevens Tribute Concert ~ Sunday, April 29, 2012 This only Cat Stevens Tribute Band recreates the songs and atmosphere of a 1970′s Cat Stevens concert, along with the stories behind the songs.  Come along on a journey back in time, and join the “Peace Train”. The timeless songs, lyrics and melodies make the world a better place through music.  Volunteers are needed in the Box Office.
