I have always loved photographs that capture the mood of the moment. capture that I use a small SLR digital camera so I can walk around freely to explore the scenes around me. Most of my photography is hand held, but I do use a tripod for my sunsets and low light scenes.
I am especially attracted to glass, water and the sparkle of sunlight and I try to capture their qualities in my printed photographs. I consider the process of printing the photos an important component of the creativity involved in photography. There are times when I make the photo “pop”out of the frame as I did in the photo of the poppies along the Yuba.
My goal is to share with the viewer share my experience of these scenes.
