AXIS Dance Company Workshop ~ Saturday, September 14, 2013 ~ 3:00 p.m. ~ Nevada Union Dance Studio
AXIS Dance Company ~ “To Color Me Different”
AXIS Dance Company will present a Free Workshop in physically integrated dance for dancers and non dancers, with and without disabilities. When AXIS Dance Company first began performing twenty five years ago, audiences often asked how they could learn more about the field of psychically integrated dance. In response, AXIS created a uniquely inclusive educational program to inspire and engage participants of all ages and abilities, both amateur and professionals.
The workshop will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at the Nevada Union High School Dance Studio. To register, call FREED at (530) 265-4444.
AXIS Dance Company Workshops:
~ Teach dance and the art of collaboration to youth and adults of all abilities
~ Encourage looking at differences as opportunities for creative ideas and solutions, rather than as obstacles
~ Provide a fun, non-competitive, creative, physical outlet for all ages
~ Empower youth and adults by providing inspiring role models who do what they love, no matter what!
“I learned that even though you are sitting in a wheelchair or wearing a prosthetic leg, you can dance like other people – but you need to do it a little different.” ~ Anna, Student
