Dracula ~ Theater By the Book ~ Wednesday, October 23, 2013 ~ 7:00 p.m. Doors / 7:30 p.m. Show ~ $10.00 Suggested Donation

The Miners Foundry and Sierra Stages will present Dracula by Steven Dietz based on Bram Stoker’s novel on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at the Miners Foundry.   Dracula will be the fifth installment of Theater By The Book, a series of informal play readings for the community.  Doors open at 7:00 p.m. with the show beginning at 7:30 p.m.  Admission is free with a $10 suggested donation.  Refreshments will be available for purchase along with a no host bar.

Dracula is an adaptation by American playwright Steven Dietz of Bram Stoker’s novel of the same name. The adaptation was first published in 1996.  Closely following the plot of the novel, the play chronicles County Dracula’s journey to England, his stalking of two young women, and his pursuit and eventual defeat by the suitors of the heroines and their associates.
