The Miners Foundry and Sands Hall present The 24 Hour Plays: Nevada City. May 4th, 2016: 7:00 p.m.
Fear not—this is not a 24-hour play! It is, rather, six short plays written, rehearsed, and performed in 24 hours.
Six writers, six directors, and 20-odd actors work literally round the clock, with the writers scribbling until dawn, when actors and directors get their scripts and start rehearsing. Costumes and props, lights and sound get added, and at 6:00 p.m., the doors open; the performance begins at 7:00 p.m. It’s an extraordinarily exciting evening—the last time we produced this event, we sold out, so get your tickets early!
Tickets are $15.00, and are available online, by phone, or in person at the Miners Foundry, or in person at Briar Patch Co-Op. Ticketing fees may apply.
The evening features a no host bar, as well as a reception after the performance where you can gather with the actors, writers, directors, et al to celebrate the extraordinary feat that is The 24 Hour Plays! Six plays in 24 hours!
