Achilles Wheel & Grateful Bluegrass Boys

The Miners Foundry is pleased to present Achilles Wheel and the Grateful Bluegrass Boys on Saturday, March 19, 2016.  Achilles Wheel is about playing music that makes you want to dance and will be celebrating the release of their latest CD.  Grateful Bluegrass Boys is a string band playing traditional Bluegrass versions of Classic Rock favorites from the Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, The Eagles, Rolling Stones and more. Plenty of room to dance!  Limited seating.  Doors open at 8:00 p.m. and the show begins at 8:30 p.m.  Tickets are $20 in Advance and $25 at the Door.  Ticketing fees may apply.  Tickets are available online, by phone, or in person at the Miners Foundry, or in person at Briar Patch Co-Op.

Achilles Wheel is a high energy Roots and World music/Rock and Roll band from Northern California, featuring award winning songwriting played on numerous stringed instruments and more drums than you can shake a stick at.  The quality of the band’s songwriting combined with stunning musicianship earned them spots at last year’s California Worldfest, The Strawberry Music festival, The Redwood Mountain Faire, The Redwood Ramble, Dead On The Creek, Railroad Earth’s Hangtown Halloween and a sold out show at Sierra Nevada Big Room in Chico, California.  If you love to dance and celebrate life, come see an Achilles Wheel show and make a joyful noise.

 

 

 

Grateful Bluegrass Boys

Grateful Bluegrass Boys is a string band playing traditional Bluegrass versions of Classic Rock favorites from the Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, The Eagles, Rolling Stones and more.  These songs, combined with classic Bluegrass and Country tunes, consistently have audiences singing and dancing along the whole show.

The band consists of Aaron Redner, known for his work with Hot Buttered Rum, David Thom, who fronts the David Thom Band and Vintage Grass,  Isaac Cantor, who also plays in Dusty Green Bones Band, and Ben Jacobs, who can be seen with Poor Man’s Whiskey and Achilles Wheel.

Purchase tickets in person: visit the Miners Foundry Office Tuesday – Friday, from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
The Miners Foundry is located at 325 Spring Street, Nevada City, CA  95959.
The Ticket Office is located up the stairs just beyond the restrooms (enter the building through the double wooden doors).
Tickets are also generally available at Briar Patch Co-Op in Grass Valley.

POLICIES

All Sales are Final.  No Refunds or Exchanges.  Treat ticket as cash.
In the event of a cancellation for which there is no rescheduled date, a refund may be issued at the option of the Management.
All ticket purchases are subject to a $2.00 per ticket Historic Preservation Fee.
Additional fees may apply for online purchases and purchases at Briar Patch Co-Op.
