Fountainsun was founded in-larva in Autumn 2011. The core members are Fumie Ishii, of Tokyo and Daniel Higgs, of Baltimore. Both are committed, through sound and gesture, to participation in a song-sustained state of higher communication with all present at live concert events and in daily life. Stylistically, the duo employs a universal-folkpsalm form, with voice, strings, drums, etc., an “all are welcome” sound. The Fountainsun album, Music Today, is being prepared for release in July 2015.
