The Miners Foundry is pleased to present Capleton on Wednesday, July 12, 2017.  Capleton is known to be the hottest entertainer in the worldwide reggae fraternity, as well as a messenger and a guiding light of righteousness.  Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and the show begins at 8:00 p.m.  Standing / dancing concert with limited seating available.  Tickets are $25 in Advance and $30 at the Door.  Tickets are available online, by phone, or in person at the Miners Foundry Box Office, or in person at Briar Patch Co-Op.

Wednesday, July 12th is also Summer Nights in Nevada City, featuring Brandy Robinson and Midnight Sol on the Spring Street Stage at the Miners Foundry.

Born Clifton George Bailey III on April 13, 1967, in the rural parish of St. Mary, Capleton earned his future stage name from friends who were so impressed with his sharp reasoning skills they named him after the most famous lawyer in town.  In Jamaica, he is one of the most popular artists on the island.  Every August, Capleton hosts a festival called St. Mary Me Come From.  When Capleton dropped the tune “Alms House” in 1992, he established himself as more than just an entertainer.  He is a messenger and a guiding light of righteousness.  Many of Capleton’s songs make mention of the blazing fire.  Fire, Capleton explains, is a way of reminding one’s brother they are going astray.
