Fright Night ~ Saturday, October 29, 2011 ~ 8:00pm Doors Open / 8:30pm Music ~ $20.00 in advance / $25.00 at the door

Albino!, San Francisco’s outrageously funky ten piece Afrobeat ensemble, will bring its trademark high-energy dance grooves and explosive stage show to the Miners Foundry Fright Night 2011 event.  Sharing the night with Albino! will be Buck Love and the Humperheads and Achilles Wheel.  Fright Night is an annual fundraiser for the Miners Foundry Cultural Center in Nevada City, and with over 800 attendees the past few years, has helped the Cultural Center fulfill its mission of fostering art, culture and preserving its rich history in our community.  Fright Night is a fun event with party-goers enjoying a full-bar, food for sale & costumes which range from outrageous to traditional Halloween!  Doors open at 8:00 p.m. and tickets are $20.00 in advance and $25.00 at the door.  Tickets are available at Briarpatch, online at or at the new Nevada City Box Office, located in the Miners Foundry Annex at 325 Spring Street, in Nevada City.

    Hi Jonathan,
$20.00 for three bands, free massages and photos for a full 5 hours of entertainment, we feel is reasonable. In addition, this is one of the biggest fundraisers for the Miners Foundry we have each year. We raise funds so that we can support school groups, educational endeavors, local bands, and art in our community. We also strive to preserve and enhance the history of the Miners Foundry and the building.
I hope this answers your question as to “where we get our nerve”. I wonder if you have seen the prices that the Center for the Arts charges for each of their events?
If you have further comments or questions, please feel free to contact me directly at [email protected]. If you would be interested in supporting our mission, I can also arrange to send you a donation envelope!
    Have a great day,
