Fundraiser to Benefit Tresa Honaker ~ Wednesday, February 22, 2012 ~ 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Join Christopher’s Deli & Catering and members of the arts community on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for a benefit for Tresa Honaker of AirAligned.  The benefit will showcase local performers including the NU Chamber Choir and Advanced Dance group and Fire Tribe.  Food will be prepared by Christopher’s Deli & Catering and the event will feature guest speakers, a slideshow, silent auction items, and fun raffle prizes while raising funds for Honaker’s transition into her  new life.  The event will also be filmed to prepare an electronic memory book for Tresa.  All proceeds from this event will go directly to  Tresa Honaker.  If you are unable to attend, donations can also be made on Honaker’s website via PayPal or at Tri Counties Bank (formerly Citizens Bank).  Please make checks payable to Julie Lang, FOB Tresa Honaker.

Tresa Honaker fell 15 feet while practicing aerial work, causing permanent injury to her spinal cord.  Although paralyzed from the waist down, Honaker hopes to continue her work teaching dance and aerial, choreographing, and cutting hair.  Her positive outlook and determination to make this a new and exciting chapter of her life is an inspiration to the entire community, of which she has been an integral part.
