Join Child Advocates of Nevada County for Hearts and Hands, a 20th Anniversary Celebrations Benefit Dance Concert featuring Lorraine Gervais and her band. The celebration will take place at the Miners Foundry on Friday, November 15, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. The evening will honor 20 years of serving Nevada County’s children and families and will include wine, desserts, and the fabulous music of Lorraine Gervais. Child Advocates of Nevada County is a private, non-profit agency founded in 1993 to provide Court Appointed Special Advocate services to abused and neglected children who were dependents of the Dependency Court. After initially working with children who had been removed from abusive homes, the organization recognized the need to prevent families from ever reaching a point of crisis.
The agency expanded their programming to prevent the cycle of abuse and neglect and Foothills Truckee Healthy Babies Welcome Baby, and Child Safety Puppeteers were added.

The Mission of the Miners Foundry Cultural Center is to preserve, enhance and utilize the historic Miners Foundry for cultural, educational and social activities. The Foundry is a non profit organization, pleased to support Child Advocates of Nevada County.
