Get ready to set sail when the KARE Crisis Nursery holds its annual spring event on Friday, April 4, 2014 at the Miners Foundry. The Cruising The Karebbean Kasino Nite will feature Lorraine Gervais and her Blues and Motown band on the dance floor, as well as great food and gaming. Guests are encouraged to break out of the winter doldrums, don their sunglasses and tropical gear, and come celebrate for a wonderful cause. KARE Crisis Nursery is a private non-profit agency established to provide safe and nurturing care for the small children of families experiencing a stressful situation. KARE Crisis Nursery is not traditional child care, but 24 hour respite care in emergencies. The KARE Crisis Nursery is a project of Soroptimist International of Grass Valley.

The Mission of the Miners Foundry Cultural Center is to preserve, enhance and utilize the historic Miners Foundry for cultural, educational and social activities.
