Nevada County Habitat for Humanity was organized in 1995 by community, government, and church members to address the growing need for affordable housing in Nevada County. The organization has grown from a handful of concerned citizens to include an active Board of Directors, Standing Committee Members, Committed Volunteers, and Donors who support the mission of providing simple, decent, and affordable home ownership for deserving local families. To date, 24 homes have been completed in Nevada County.
The Mission of the Miners Foundry Cultural Center is to preserve, enhance and utilize the historic Miners Foundry for cultural, educational and social activities. The Foundry is a non profit organization, pleased to support Nevada County Habitat for Humanity.
