Spring Acting Classes with Sandra Rockman

SandraRockman-300x199Sandra Rockman will present a series of Spring Acting Classes from April 7 through June 3, 2014 at the Miners Foundry.

“Truth in Acting” will be offered in two sessions, Monday evenings from 7:00 – 9:30 p.m. or Tuesday days from 1:00 – 3:30 p.m.  “Truth in Acting” features improv, monologue, and scene work for the beginner or experienced actor in a safe, respectful environment.  Cost is $180.00.

“Instant Improv (Just Add Actor!)” will be offered Tuesday evenings from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.  “Instant Improv” is an 8 week series in improvisational exercises, fun and games.  Cost is $150.00.

Sandra Rockman has been involved with local theater since 1978.  She will be directing a Sierra Stages / Miners Foundry co-sponsored Theater By the Book reading of “Souvenir” by Stephen Temperly at 7: 30p.m. on Wednesday, April 16, 2014.

Sandra Rockman will present three different  acting classes for her Winter 2014 series at the Miners Foundry:

 

 

“Truth in Acting”
Tuesdays ~ 1:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. ~ January 7 – March 4, 2014 ~ $180
Featuring improv, monologue, and scene work for the beginner or experienced actor in a safe, respectful environment

“The Heart of Performance Art”
Mondays ~ 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. ~ January 6 – February 24, 2014 ~ $160
Craft a skilled performance of your own monologue

“Instant Improv (Just Add Actor!)”
Wednesdays ~ 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. ~ January 8 – February 26, 2014 ~ $160

Sandra Rockman is an actress and playwright currently producing Sonja Weissman and the Miracle Play, an original play by Robin Wallace.

Fall Acting Classes with Sandra Rockman

Sandra Rockman and the Miners Foundry will present a series of Acting Classes this fall.

“TRUTH IN ACTING” will feature improv, monologue, and scene work for the beginner or experienced actor in a safe, respectful environment.  Two class options will be offered, Mondays from 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and Tuesdays from 7:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.  The series begins Monday, September 30, 2013 and runs through Tuesday, November 26, 2013.  The cost for one 9 week session is $180.00.

“THE HEART OF PERFORMANCE ART” will feature writing individual monologues and crafting a skilled performance.  The eight week session runs from Monday, September 30 through Monday, November 18, 2013, from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.  The cost for this session is $160.00.

Truth in Acting Workshop with Sandra Rockman ~ Winter 2013 Series

Whether you harbor a secret desire to perform or you are already active with area companies, Sandra will guide you to a richer level of awareness and ability to inhabit your character on stage.  Class sizes will be limited and pre-registration is required.  Three class options will be offered, beginning January 7, 2013.  The series will run for 9 weeks and is $180.00 for the series.

Three class options are available:
Mondays 7:00 – 9:30 p.m.
Tuesdays 1:00 – 3:30 p.m.
Tuesdays 7:00 – 9:30 p.m.
