The Miners Foundry and Sierra Stages will present The Fox by Allan Miller, based on the novella by D. H. Lawrence, on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at the Miners Foundry.   The Fox will be the sixth and final installment of Theater By The Book, a series of informal play readings for the community.  Doors open at 7:00 p.m. with the show beginning at 7:30 p.m.  Admission is free with a $10 suggested donation.  Refreshments will be available for purchase along with a no host bar.

The Fox tells the story of two English women in their 30’s who are struggling to run an isolated farm.  The hens have stopped laying and the hen house is being raided by a fox.  Enter a young soldier who is such an engaging and capable fellow that he is invited to stay on as a hired hand.  Who is this mysterious man who eventually dominates life on the farm?
