Engage the Arts! ~ Friday, May 2, 2014

NU_Art-PosterThe Nevada Union Arts Guild and the  Miners Foundry will present the 10th annual Engage the Arts on Friday, May 2, 2014 from 5:30 – 9:00 p.m.  Highlights of the evening include an extensive exhibition and silent auction of exemplary student art works, an interactive visual art experience open to all guests, musical entertainment featuring local student musicians, passed appetizers, and local Artisan wine and beer tastings.  Tickets are $25.00 for Adults and $15.00 for Students.  Advance tickets may be purchased at J.J. Jackson’s in Nevada City and at The Bookseller in Grass Valley.  Tickets will also be available at the door.

Community members and students may preview the exhibition of the student artwork beginning Thursday, May 1, 2014.  Admission to the exhibition preview is free.

 

The Visual Arts are a vital component of K-12 instruction.  Engage the Arts is the major fundraising event of the year for the Visual Art Department at Nevada Union.  All proceeds from the event will be used to purchase much needed instructional material and supplies for the entire Nevada Union Visual Arts Department.

The Nevada Union Visual Arts Department will present Engage the Arts! an interactive art experience on Friday, May 17, 2013, from 5:30 – 9:00 p.m. at the Miners Foundry. The evening will feature an exhibition and silent auction, music, appetizers, along with wine and beer tastings.  The event is being co-sponsored by NUArt Guild, Nevada County Arts, and the Miners Foundry.  Tickets are $20.00 for Adults and $15.00 for Students, and are available in person at J.J. Jackson’s, Briar Patch Co-Op and The Bookseller or online at Engage the Arts!.
