The Nevada City Film Festival is made up of a group of passionate filmmakers and artists who have worked to create an outlet for emerging new voices and ideas while providing audiences with a unique experience in a picturesque location. Over 100 films including comedies, dramas, documentaries, animation, and international shorts are screened in  a variety of historic locations in downtown Nevada City.  By combining creative programming of short and full-length films, enthusiastic audiences, and a truly festive environment, NCFF has become known as one of the most innovative, fun and artist-friendly events on the film festival circuit.  The Nevada City Film Festival runs September 5 – 8, 2013.

The Nevada City Film Festival and its Magic Lantern Film Society are committed to serving Nevada County and nearby regions by providing art, entertainment, education, and culture through the medium of film and video.  The commitment extends to presenting creative, diverse, independent films from around the world that would otherwise have little or no other outlet in our region; curating and presenting film programs and producing film festivals and other related events; and encouraging and supporting local filmmakers and their work.

The Mission of the Miners Foundry Cultural Center is to preserve, enhance and utilize the historic Miners Foundry for cultural, educational and social activities.   The Foundry is a non profit organization, pleased to support the Nevada City Film Festival.
