ABOUT

Sierra Stages and the Miners Foundry present a “Theater by the Book” play reading of “CLOSET LAND” by Radha Bharadwaj, directed by John Ficarra on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at 7:30pm.

This tense psychological thriller revolves around the arrest and interrogation of an author who is suspected of communicating subversive messages through her children’s stories. Her captor mixes subtle psychological cat-and-mouse games with brutal torture that is not for the squeamish. The stage play is adapted from Bharadwaj’s award-winning screenplay for the cult classic film that Bharadwaj also directed.

WARNING:  Mature and disturbing content including harsh language about torture.

Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and the performance begins at 7:30 p.m.

Now in its 8th Season, “Theater By the Book” is a series of informal play readings for the community co-presented by Sierra Stages and Miners Foundry. Readings occur throughout the year – visit www.sierrastages.org or www.minersfoundry.org for schedules and details.
