Lettice and Lovage is a delightful comedy by Peter Shaffer, author of Amadeus and Equus.  Lettice Douffet, a docent at Fustian  House, one of England’s most boring historical homes, decides to liven up her tours by inventing wildly theatrical “histories”, thus coming to the attention of Lotte Schoen, an inspector of the Preservation Trust.  The meeting of the imaginative Lettice and the seemingly conventional Lotte leads to a most unconventional – and riotous – friendship.
