ABOUT

Buffalo Field Campaign’s Co-Founder and Campaign Coordinator Mike Mease is hitting the road again in September and October for his annual BFC Road Show. Since 1999, Mike has been visiting communities in Washington, Oregon, and California to share music, stories, video, and discussion—all of which is inspired by the last wild bison. The Buffalo Field Campaign Road Show features music and film dedicated to the plight of the buffalo, and Miners Foundry Cultural Center is thrilled to present this event to our region!

7th Annual Night of Giving ~ Benefit for Utah’s Place / Hospitality House of Western Nevada County ~ Saturday, December 22, 2012 ~ 4:00 – 10:00 p.m. ~ $20.00 Suggested Donation

Utah’s Place

Mikail Graham will present the 7th Annual Night of Giving to benefit Utah’s Place / Hospitality House of Western Nevada County on Saturday, December 22, 2012.  Night of Giving features more than forty local Nevada County musicians and poets, all donating their time for this worthy cause.  Among the more than forty local performers will be Buffalo Gals, Terry Riley, Leta’s Blues, Paul Kamm & Eleanore MacDonald, Sierra Master Chorale, Kelly Fleming & Che Greenwood, Peter Wilson, Beaucoup Chapeaux, Paul Perry, Mountain Laurel Duo, Meri St. Mary, Steve Holland, Dakota Sid, Lorraine Gervais and Tony Unger, Molly Fisk, Earles of Newtown, and the Nevada Union High School Choir.  Music starts at 4:00 p.m. in the Stone Hall, and 5:00 p.m. in the Osborn/Woods Hall, continuing until 10:00 p.m., pretty much non-stop the entire time in both rooms.  There will always be something for someone in one space or the other.  Starting around 6:00 p.m., local restaurants such as Diego’s, Matteo’s Public, Tofanelli’s, The Lake House, Five Mile House, Jim E’s Catering and Club 141, Goldrush Burgers & BBQ, will be once again donating food for the event.  More than 400 people were served last year and this year more are expected.  All proceeds from the event benefit Hospitality House, the community shelter for the homeless in Nevada County.

This is an all ages, family friendly event, and the music is essentially all acoustic, but lightly amplified so folks can comfortably listen in either room.

Tickets will be available at:
The BookSeller, 107 Mill St., GV
BriarPatch Co-Op, 290 Sierra College Blvd., GV
Harmony Books, 231 Broad St., NC
And online at hospitalityhouseshelter.org
