About
Achilles Wheel will be performing on the Miners Foundry stage on Friday, November 29 at 8:00pm as part of a Live Recording Series for their next album!
Achilles Wheel blurs the lines between genres with a mix of infectious high energy dance beats and stark lyrical ballads. Roots Rock storytelling combined with dance hall psychedelia.
Much like life itself, their music breathes in and out with joy and pain, hurtling forward like a wheel, intent on hope and love. They play hard as a way to break down walls and celebrate life. Their idealism is not diminished by the harsh light of the modern world as we struggle to live free and have a good time… and in the end – hopefully make a difference. Achilles Wheel fearlessly sings out to these times, the here and now.

Buffalo Field Campaign’s Co-Founder and Campaign Coordinator Mike Mease is hitting the road again in September and October for his annual BFC Road Show. Since 1999, Mike has been visiting communities in Washington, Oregon, and California to share music, stories, video, and discussion—all of which is inspired by the last wild bison. The Buffalo Field Campaign Road Show features music and film dedicated to the plight of the buffalo, and Miners Foundry Cultural Center is thrilled to present this event to our region!

“I spent a lot of nights in a lot of places with the Jerry Garcia Band, and I’m here to say that I really enjoy what The Garcia Project does with those memories. Mik’s guitar and his and Kat’s vocals stir up some very sweet vibes.. sometimes they almost make me feel like I’m back in, say 1992 at the Warfield. Check ’em out.”
– Dennis McNally, former publicst for the Jerry Garcia Band
The Garcia Project’s performances are based on actual set lists performed by The Jerry Garcia Band. All of their shows are classic recreations of a Jerry Garcia Band set list from 1976 to 1995. For anyone who never had a chance to experience the Jerry Garcia Band or for fans that want to relive a classic show, The Garcia Project delivers. The Garcia Project has received rave reviews from the press and from fans. Touring nationally, The Garcia Project has made many Jerry Garcia fans extremely happy. It’s about family, soul searching, rejoicing, contemplating, celebrating, seeking truth and loving one another.
Paul Kamm, Jonny Mojo and Shelby Snow are singer/ songwriters and front men of the Northern California Roots and World music/Rock and Roll jam band, Achilles Wheel. As an acoustic trio they bring the same high energy and engaging stage presence to a quieter place, combining a bit of Country and Bluegrass to the band’s famously hard driving sound. But it’s the infectious quality of their songwriting that really shines in this setting, and the diverse nature of it as well. Paul and Jonny work off of each other like two sides of the same coin, actively looking for and pushing each other to find the most in whatever song they’re playing. Shelby on the bass is like a river, both calm and turbulent, that runs through it and ties it all together.
