The Miners Foundry will present Reader’s Theatre on Sunday, November 26, 2017.  Reader’s Theatre has been called Story Time for Grown Ups, or Theatre of the Mind, and gained popularity during World War II when large stage plays were too expensive to produce.  Using minimal props, the actor and your imagination illustrate the story.

This installment of Reader’s Theatre will feature stories by Sarah Kokernot, Maile Meloy, Louise Erdrich, and Justin Bigos.  Local professionals generously volunteering their time for this production include Director Tim O’Connor, and Actors Gaylie Bell-Stewart, Reinette Senum, Corinne Gelfan.

Doors open at 3:30 p.m. and the show begins at 4:00 p.m.  Tickets are $10.00 and are available online, in person or by phone at the Miners Foundry, and in person at Briar Patch C0-Op.  Ticketing fees may apply.

Ngaio Bealum, Sac News & Review writer and comedian will emcee the evening.

Musical guests include Achilles Wheel and Saul Rayo & Cocina Cafe.

Featured speakers will be Patricia Smith, Director of ASA Nevada County and Reinette Senum, former Nevada City Council Member / Mayor.

Doors open at 7:00 p.m.  Admission is $20.00.
