Adventures & Wine Auction ~ Friday, September 19, 2014

Rotary AuctionThe 2014 Adventures & Wine Auction to benefit the Nevada City Rotary Club Youth Programs and Scholarship Fund will be held on Friday, September 19, 2014 from 5:30 – 9:00 p.m. at the Miners Foundry.

The silent and live auctions will feature services, goods, and unforgettable experiences donated by members of the Nevada City Rotary Club and the local business community.

This  year’s gala features music and dancing with Dream & the Dreamer, in addition to an enticing selection of items and services.

Ticket price includes dessert, wine from many of Nevada County’s best wineries, a no-host bar, fun raffles, and the live and silent auctions.  Food will be available for purchase.  This is a great evening of wine, food, fun, and charitable auctioneering.

All proceeds benefit the scholarships and other youth programs of the Nevada City Rotary Club.  Tickets are $12.00 in advance and $20.00 at the door and are available at Harmony Books, The Bookseller, Briar Patch Co-Op, or from Nevada City Rotarians.

Engage the Arts! ~ Friday, May 2, 2014

NU_Art-PosterThe Nevada Union Arts Guild and the  Miners Foundry will present the 10th annual Engage the Arts on Friday, May 2, 2014 from 5:30 – 9:00 p.m.  Highlights of the evening include an extensive exhibition and silent auction of exemplary student art works, an interactive visual art experience open to all guests, musical entertainment featuring local student musicians, passed appetizers, and local Artisan wine and beer tastings.  Tickets are $25.00 for Adults and $15.00 for Students.  Advance tickets may be purchased at J.J. Jackson’s in Nevada City and at The Bookseller in Grass Valley.  Tickets will also be available at the door.

Community members and students may preview the exhibition of the student artwork beginning Thursday, May 1, 2014.  Admission to the exhibition preview is free.

 

The Visual Arts are a vital component of K-12 instruction.  Engage the Arts is the major fundraising event of the year for the Visual Art Department at Nevada Union.  All proceeds from the event will be used to purchase much needed instructional material and supplies for the entire Nevada Union Visual Arts Department.

The Nevada Union Visual Arts Department will present Engage the Arts! an interactive art experience on Friday, May 17, 2013, from 5:30 – 9:00 p.m. at the Miners Foundry. The evening will feature an exhibition and silent auction, music, appetizers, along with wine and beer tastings.  The event is being co-sponsored by NUArt Guild, Nevada County Arts, and the Miners Foundry.  Tickets are $20.00 for Adults and $15.00 for Students, and are available in person at J.J. Jackson’s, Briar Patch Co-Op and The Bookseller or online at Engage the Arts!.

For the Birds and the Bees ~ A Benefit for Neighborhood Center of the Arts ~ Friday, November 2, 2012 ~ 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. ~ $20.00

 

Neighborhood Center of the Arts will be hosting the 7th Annual Birds & Bees Event (formerly known as For the Birds) on Friday, November 2, 2012 at the Miners Foundry.  Each year, NCA provides unfinished bird houses to artist friends for transformation into a fine piece of art.  Each piece is auctioned at this annual event.  For the Birds and the Bees is a major fundraiser for the many programs at NCA and a delight to the Nevada County community.  Stop by for an evening of light music, tasty food by LJ’s Catering, a no-host wine bar, and a wonderful opportunity to support NCA.  The new BUZZ this year is to explore the idea of Bee Houses!  It’s never too late to donate a birdhouse, bird or bee art.  Doors open at 6:00 p.m. for the live and silent auction.  Tickets are $20.00 and are available in person at NCA, online, by phone and in person at the Nevada City Box Office at the Miners Foundry, (530) 265-6462, and in person at Briar Patch Co-Op.  Admission price includes hors d’oeuvres and a complimentary glass of wine.  For more information, please call (530) 272-7287 or email [email protected] .
