Sierra Harvest Soup NightDo you love fresh, locally grown food?  Bring the whole family to the Sierra Harvest Soup Night. Kids eat free!

Join Sierra Harvest for a celebration of the 5th season of the Food Love Project on Thursday, April 9, 2015 from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. at the Miners Foundry.

Bring your own bowl and spoon and enjoy a bottomless bowl of locally grown soup and  yummy bread for $10.

Enjoy live music by Paige Anderson & The Fearless Kin while supporting farm to school education in our community.

Enjoy a healthy meal and connect with other local lovers of fresh food!

Sierra Harvest is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating, inspiring, and connecting western Nevada County’s families to fresh, local, seasonal foods.

Sierra Harvest offers farm to school programming, farm fresh school meals, mentors for aspiring farmers and gardeners, a celebration of our local food community, and support for just, sustainable food systems.

The Mission of the Miners Foundry Cultural Center is to preserve, enhance and utilize the historic Miners Foundry for cultural, educational and social activities.

Sierra Harvest Soup Night | April 4th | Tickets on Sale Now!

Join us for a Local Food Celebration

Thursday, April 4, 2019 at the Miners Foundry, Nevada City, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Gather up your friends and family to meet local agricultural artisans and learn new ways to buy produce, meat, flowers, milk, cheese, and more.  Enjoy hearty soup using farm fresh ingredients and bread followed by music and dancing to Love Train, a local funk R&B band!

Children’s activities included in the festivities!

Schedule

5:00 p.m. | Meet farmers, grab a drink, mingle
5:30 p.m. | Soup and Bread Served, and meet your local farmers!
6:30-8:30p.m.|Dancing

Price

$10 for everyone 10 and above.  Free for children 9 and under.  Tickets will be sold at the door if not already sold out in advance.  Purchase online or come to the Sierra Harvest office to pay by check, 313 Railroad Avenue, Suite 201, Nevada City, Monday – Friday, 9:30a.m. – 4:00p.m.).

Please bring your own bowls, spoons, and cups.  Local beer and wine along with non-alcoholic drinks will also be available for purchase.

Love Train is a 6 piece dance band that taps into the same gold vein of 60’s soul and R&B as the Blues Bros and the Commitments.  Belting out soul hits from Wilson Picket, Otis Redding, Aretha Franklin, the O’Jays, Same and Dave, Stevie Wonder, and many more, Love Train delivers a powerfully funky vintage soul groove that WILL get you dancing!
