Souper Sunday ~ Sunday, November 2, 2014

Stone SoupInConcert Sierra and Sierra Stages will present Souper Sunday on Sunday, November 2, 2014 at the Miners Foundry.

Enjoy a Stone Soup luncheon and Stone Soup the Musical, with music and lyrics by Ken Hardin, Directed by Susan Mason.

 

When a hungry traveler comes to a  town where all the food has been hidden, the villagers set out to make soup of water and stones, and all the town enjoys a feast!  Enjoy the musical and a feast with homemade soups and fresh bread.  A no host bar will also be available as well as an awesome raffle and silent auction items.

Souper Sunday is a fundraiser to benefit the educational programs of InConcert Sierra and Sierra Stages.  This fundraiser is sponsored by John & Valarie Bush.  Doors open at 1:30pm and the show begins at 2:00 p.m.  Tickets are $35.00 for General Admission and $20.00 for Youth under 17.

Stone Soup: Theater By the Book ~ Wednesday, April 24, 2013 ~ 7:00 p.m. Doors / 7:30 p.m. Curtain ~ $10.00 Suggested Donation

The Miners Foundry and Sierra Stages will present Stone Soup on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at the Miners Foundry.  Stone Soup will be the first installment of Theater By The Book, a series of informal play readings for the community co-presented by Sierra Stages and the Miners Foundry.

Doors open at 7:00 p.m. with the show beginning at 7:30 p.m.  Admission is free with a $10 suggested donation.  Refreshments will be available for purchase along with a no host bar.

Stone Soup by Ken Hardin and Michaela Conger is a delightful children’s musical based on an old folk story in which a hungry stranger comes to town and teaches the townspeople the benefit of working together to achieve a common goal.  Perfect for families and children of all ages!
