Youth Theatre Classes ~ January 22 – April 9, 2014

Dinah Winter ClassMiners Foundry Cultural Center and Dinah Smith will present an Acting & Musical Theatre Combo Class for students ages 10-14.  Students will experience small classes and individual attention.  The series will run Wednesdays, January 22 through April 9, 2014 from 3:45 – 5:15 p.m.  For more information and to register, please contact Dinah Smith at (858)  354-3241 or [email protected]  .

Students will:
~ Explore The Principles of Good Acting and Character Development
~ Create and Perform Scenes and Mini Plays
~ Learn Audition Tips and Techniques
~ Learn Songs and Choreography from Broadway Musicals and Movies
~ Perform in a Showcase on the last day of class (family and friends welcome!)

Dinah Smith


With a BA in Theatre and a Masters in Elementary Education, Dinah Smith has been involved in the Entertainment Industry and Theatre Arts Education since the early 1970′s as a teacher, director, choreographer, and performer.  Locally, she has choreographed for Sierra Stages, LeGacy, and Paul Emery; directed for Yuba River Charter School; performed with LeGacy, and recently had 10 different roles in the CATS production of Journey to the West.  Dinah directed the highly acclaimed premiere holiday production of Sonja Weissman and The Miracle Play in December of 2013.
