Volunteers are needed for the following events:
A Wedding Affair for All Seasons ~ Sunday, January 29, 2012 ~ A Wedding Affair for All Seasons, produced by Joy of Life Events returns to the Miners Foundry. On this special day, the Miners Foundry will be transformed into seasonal rooms showcasing some of the top wedding and event vendors in Nevada County. This is truly not a day to be missed! Volunteers are needed at the Registration Table from 10:30am – 1:15pm and from 1:15pm – 4:00pm.
Sensual Saint EP Release Party ~ Friday, February 3, 2012 ~ The Miners Foundry is excited to present a special youth concert featuring Sensual Saint. Sensual Saint, a local pop punk band from Rough and Ready, recently signed with Hungry Mind Entertainment, brings their exciting rock show back to the Miners Foundry. Sensual Saint members, Jonny Viola, Jesse Hunter, Zach Peach and Leif Bo Bonfils, comprise a pop punk band from Rough and Ready, California. This show marks the release of their new E.P. titled “A Lifetime of Laughter”. Other local bands sharing the night with Sensual Saint are Opposition, Sweet Talk and Build Us Airplanes. Volunteers are needed in the Box Office from 6:30pm until 8:00pm.
Looking Through A Glass Onion: Deconstructing the Beatles ~ Friday, February 10, 2012 ~ The Miners Foundry will host a presentation of The Beatles’ 1968 self-titled album (commonly referred to as the White Album). The White Album is the bestselling album of the Beatles’ career. Its thirty songs span almost every style of music – from hard rock to country to chamber music to avant garde. Its recording took place during a remarkable year in Beatles history that included a lengthy trip to India and the arrival of Yoko Ono. In “Looking Through A Glass Onion: Deconstructing The Beatles’ White Album”, Scott Freiman takes Beatles fans young and old into the studio as the band creates this masterpiece. Mr. Freiman will discuss the creation of “Revolution”, “While My Guitar Gently Weeps”, “Blackbird” and many other classic songs from the White Album. Volunteers are needed in the Box Office and to serve as Ushers from 5:30pm – 8:00pm.
