Winter Bizarre ~ Sunday, December 18, 2011 ~ 11:00am – 8:00pm ~ $5.00

The Miners Foundry is proud to bring the Nevada City Winter Bizarre back to the Miners Foundry on December 18th, 2011.   Occurring each summer and winter, this bi-annual event, is the fourth Nevada City Bizarre to take place in Nevada City and features over 50 unique artists, crafters, collectors and makers of things!  A variety of vendors will have jewelry, handmade and up-cycled clothing and goods, bath and body supplies, toys, art, and ceramics for sale.  Set to coincide with the last day of Victorian Christmas, the Nevada City Winter Bizarre is a welcome addition to Holiday Season shopping.

 

At each Nevada City Bizarre you can purchase food and drink and enjoy an assortment of musicians while browsing the vendor booths.  This year, the line up of local and emerging musicians will showcase their talents in the Upper Gallery from 1:00 p.m. until midnight.  Organized by Tin House productions, the music roster features a wide spectrum of musical talent including Coal Beautiere, Red Cloud, The Trap, Rat Stomp, Lasher Keen, Paula Frazer (SF),  Black Woofer (OR), Beesharq, Leona Sapphire, Sophie and Her Skeleton Key (OR), Chris Cotton, Where is BKP?, Leaves, Heather Normandale and others.

 

A supervised children’s crafting room will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Workshops for children, Miniature New Years Wreath Workshop 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and Tile Painting Portraits from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. are free to children 12 and under.   Children 6 and under should be accompanied by an adult.

    I would like to show my work again this year, but am unable to send pictures through my computer. Could I mail the application along with pictures to get a space? I showed last year, was the person who had the framed dried flowers between two pieces of glass. I would want an 8×10 or a 10×10 space. Thank you for your response.
