The Alliance for Social Health (ASH) and the Miners Foundry Cultural Center have combined to present a Youth Arts Showcase on Friday, March 30, 2012 at the Miners Foundry.  The Youth Art Showcase will feature performances and visual art by teens and twenty-somethings.  Performers and artists will also be able to learn stagecraft, promotion, and exhibition design, creating an opportunity to learn all aspects of event production.

Interested performers and artists should contact Chad or Rahlene at the Alliance for Social Health at (530) 272-3538 or [email protected].  Arts and entertainment professionals interested in mentoring or donating materials should also contact Chad or Rahlene at ASH.

Doors open at 6:00 p.m., with family friendly, PG rated performances until 9:00 p.m.  After 9:00 p.m., the performances will be geared toward a more mature audience.  Advance tickets are $5.00 for students and $7.00 for general admission and are available at the Nevada City Box Office, Briar Patch, The Bookseller, Yabobo, and online at www.minersfoundry.org.  Ticket prices at the door are $7.00 for students and $10.00 for general admission.

Food and nonalcoholic beverages will be available for purchase, along with a beer and wine bar for guests over 21 years old.

“The Miners Foundry is proud to support young artists in our community through our Emerging Artists Program, which is made possible in part by a grant from the William and Marion Ghidotti Foundation”, said Gretchen Bond, Executive Director of the Miners Foundry Cultural Center.
