Band Beyond Description presents a Tribute to Dickey Betts

Thursday, May 23, 2024

The Miners Foundry Cultural Center is pleased to present Band Beyond Description and their loving tribute to the music of Dickey Betts and the Allman Brothers Band on Thursday, May 23, 2024 . Doors and Bar open at 7:00 pm and the show beings at 8:00 pm.

We’ve all boogied in the shadow cast by The Allman Brothers Band (ABB). Whether playing the blues, a funky soul tune, some good old country music or a jazz-rock epic, the ABB were always in the groove, deeply honest and authentic.

“I’ve been an ABB fan since I was a teenager. The 2 drummers riffing/ two guitars playing lead lines. They just blew me away. Sean and I have been wanting to do a project together for a long time. When Dickey died we called on each other and said “we have to put together a band and do a tribute.”

With the recent passing of guitarist Dickey Betts The Band Beyond Description, your local purveyors of Grateful Dead inspired monthly jams, has decided to come together outside of the cozy confines of the Crazy Horse and celebrate the music of the Allman Brothers Band and Dickey Betts.

Jonny Mojo and Gary Campus have enlisted the help of Mr. Scott Guberman on the keyboards, and the Sean Lehe Trio to fill out this 6-piece band. Expect the “group mind” to be easy access with this inspiring group of players.
