The Miners Foundry Cultural Center is pleased to present its annual FREE Live Music Concert Series spotlighting the talent of our local artists. We’ll feature Old Soles on Thursday, May 30 from 5-8 p.m. and on Friday, May 31 Mark Vieaux will play from 5-8 p.m.

About Old Soles
Old Soles is the duo of Masha and Geff Crawford, emphasizing the “play” in playing music. With deep roots in both Appalachian and Irish music, they blend pub sing-alongs with moonshine-flavored fiddle tunes and harmonies, always with a generous twist of wry-whiskey humor. Definitely not serious musicians, the husband-and-wife team are “…as endearing as they are funny and enjoyable. They have very strong vaudevillian vibes and show up to entertain and delight.” KFOK Radio
About The Vieaux 5
The band delivers an energized live show of “rockin’ Americana” – dance if you want to, or sing along, but yes, you will be entertained!
The Vieaux 5 includes songwriter Mark Vieaux on guitar and vocals, with sizzling soloists Phil Missimore on lead guitar and Josh Kling on violin and mandolin, backed by the dynamic rhythm section of Jeff Marshall on bass and Marc Ramonda on drums.
In the final stages of completing his latest album Mid-Century Modern, the set list will include several of Mark’s new songs as well as favorites from his Man on the Street album of a few years back.
The Vieaux 5 has a sound which blends The Rolling Stones and Steve Earle, mixed in with some Eagles and Black Keys, and maybe a dash of Elvis Costello.
