ANIMALS

January 24, 2018 @ 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM

A new exhibit opens January 12 at the Osborn/Woods Gallery at the Miners Foundry.  ANIMALS features art by Miriam Morris, Ivan Farmer, Jim Lee, Juliette Morris Williams, Al Martinez, Jenny Snyder, Duncan Linthicum, and Abigail Weissman.

Opening night is Friday, January 12 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. and features a special silent auction benefiting the Ruff Pack Rescue, a non-profit rescue and adoption organization in Nevada County.  Come see the exhibit, meet the artists, bid on spectacular art and visit with some of the dogs who are part of this wonderful organization.  All proceeds from the silent auction will benefit the non-profit Ruff Pack Refuge located in Nevada County.  The group also rescues older and disabled dogs who are at risk of euthanasia.  Many of these dogs are placed into loving homes or are provided with hospice care until their final day.  Several of the RPR dogs will be available for a meet and greet both weekends.

Besides founding her own organization, Mizener is the co-director of the Animal Film Festival produced by the Center for Animal Protection & Education.  She is also the manager of North San Juan Nevada County Pets in Need.

The exhibit runs through January 24th.  The Osborn/Woods Gallery is open:
Wednesdays & Thursdays | 12:00 – 5:00 p.m.
Fridays | 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.
Saturdays | 12:00 – 5:00 p.m.
