The Miners Foundry Cultural Center is pleased to present the Western Swing Trio with Bob Woods, live on the Patio Stage on Saturday, August 19, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. The Miners Foundry features a no host full bar and snacks available for purchase. The Patio Stage offers mixed standing and cabaret table seating. No Cover Charge.
The Western Swing Trio includes two current members and one future member of the Sacramento Western Swing Hall Of Fame. They play both Western Swing classics and originals featuring the “twin guitar” sound. The Heifer Belles began as friends getting together for some casual picking and singing. The result, a blend of back porch Americana, took them out of the living room and into the world to perform their music.
Bob Woods
Bob Woods plays guitar, steel guitar, and saxophone and has been playing professionally since 1971.
Bob has played with many of his heroes including Albert Lee, Bill Kirchen, Tiny Moore, Ramblin’ Jack Elliot, the Sufaris, the Earles of Newtown, and Stardust Cowboys.
The Bob Woods Trio has played monthly at the Crazy Horse Saloon in Nevada City, CA for over twelve years.
Bob is a member of the Sacramento Western Swing Hall of Fame and has released seven albums of original music.
Bob is also a railroad steam locomotive engineer with over twenty-five years of experience.
