The Miners Foundry Cultural Center is pleased to present Foundation/s on Friday, May 19, 2023. Doors and the show are at 8:00 p.m. The Miners Foundry features a no host full bar and snacks available for purchase.
FOUNDATION/S parties are about connecting people to music and to each other–we’re all about good vibes, great music, and fun people. At our events we love bringing DJs of both regional and national acclaim to our community to share their passion for music and to share in the experience of the custom curated musical journey’s they create.
More information about the lineup:
Scottie Scribbles is one of the founding members of Lost in Groove, Sacramento’s leading techno collective known for its flagship event, Technosaic. He has packed dance floors throughout Northern California, all the way down to Mexico and all kinds of camps in that dusty place known as Burning Man.
Scottie’s selections range from dark and broody to hypnotic and deep. When he is not digging for music he is building art installations to transform his events into unforgettable experiences. Scribbles is a known showman and will seduce the dancefloor, keeping it moving into the late night hours.
A Nevada City, CA native, Shytiegr is one of the founding members of the FOUNDATION/S House and Techno parties. Shytiegr, a life-long connoisseur of electronic music has been inseparable from his decks since a friend tricked him into DJing a party back in 2018; since then he’s been honing his craft and trying to convince his friends he never used to listen to main-stage EDM. Even though primarily focused on the darker and harder side of Techno, Shytiegr is equally at home with Melodic House & Techno and is always ready to take an audience on a journey. When not playing Techno of one flavor or another, you can find him bringing massive amounts of energy to the dancefloor with Afro House, or if the mood fits, getting hot and heavy with a rowdy Mid Tempo set (think Rezz).
When not playing in-person you can find Shytiegr playing weekly for an online community that he’s been growing on Twitch since the onset of the pandemic. If not voraciously digging deep for tracks, you can find him working on honing his production skills or pursuing any of his other too-many hobbies.
Deep within Dance Music’s Bermuda Triangle in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Troy Hensel cut his teeth in the Midwest’s rave scene in the 1990’s. After acquiring turntables at the age of sixteen, Troy began his nocturnal exploits in Chicago which resulted in a long-time love for Chicago House, Detroit Techno, and a full-fledged synthesizer addiction.
In 1996 near Madison, Wisconsin, Troy had the privilege of sharing a bill with two eighteen-year-olds from Paris going by the name of Daft Punk. Now, after nearly thirty years of DJing and producing, Troy continues his dedication to the underground and to the craft.
