Goblin Forge Summer 2026
More Info
The Stonehall at Miners Foundry feels like the castle of Nevada City. With its massive stone walls, giant fireplace, and Gold Rush history, it’s the perfect place for fantasy adventures to come alive.

Every Tuesday from 4–6 pm, we “light the forge” and gather friends and family to feast and adventure together. Melanya Gonshorowski from Sweet Magnolias prepares nourishing snacks each week from organically grown carrots and locally picked apples to wooden platters filled with cheese, crackers, and figs for everyone to enjoy!

We are incredibly lucky to have this space to gather, a castle filled with friendship, imagination, and good memories.”

The summer series is structured as four separate five-day camps running throughout the summer at the Miners Foundry. Each camp offers a complete Dungeons & Dragons adventure, making it easy for both new and returning players to join along the way. Many campers return for multiple sessions.

2026 Camp Sessions
● Session 1: June 15–19
● Session 2: June 29–July 3
● Session 3: July 13–17
● Session 4: July 27–31

Camp runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, with optional early drop-off and late pickup available to help accommodate working families. A typical day includes a two-hour morning D&D session, followed by outdoor adventures, lunch, and cooperative games like Capture the Flag, Poison Dart Frog, and Chaos Tag. Campers then return for another two-hour session or creative workshop.

Goblin Forge D&D Summer Day Camp is a five-day immersive Dungeons & Dragons experience that goes far beyond a single night of gameplay. Each camp day includes four hours of collaborative D&D adventures alongside two hours of outdoor activities, movement, and creative exploration.

The longer format allows kids to develop their characters, build friendships, and experience epic story lines together throughout the week. D&D-themed snacks, creative workshops, giveaways, and guest experiences help bring the magic to life. Last year, an “Elven Wizard” taught players to craft magical fireball scrolls with parchment and wax seals, while members of the local LARP community arrived in costume as giant spiders and a Dark Queen for an unforgettable live-action battle.

Our Dungeon Masters help set the tone for collaboration, creativity, and inclusion by running multiple tables designed for different experience levels, allowing kids to learn at their own pace and comfort level.

Experienced players often help teach newer adventurers, creating a supportive environment where learning becomes part of the adventure itself. In many ways, the community grows through positive mentorship, with older or more experienced players helping guide and encourage the next generation of players.
