This year, we’re featuring the best in local bands including:
Awkward Pocket
Wednesday, July 15th 6:00 to 9:00 PM
Eclectic, quirky, and nearly impossible to fit into one genre, Awkward Pocket blends guitar, cello, accordion, mandolin, melodica, and drums into a sound that has been described as everything from “indie Americana” and “funky-jazzy-bluesy-folky” to simply, “You guys just rock!”
Featuring Lex Cook, Erin Long, Jasper Carnevale, Mickey Finn, and Elijah Koko, Awkward Pocket brings original music, playful energy, and plenty of surprises to the opening night of the series.
Juliet Gobert & Las Niñas Muertas
Wednesday, July 22nd 6:00 to 9:00 PM
Four-part harmonies, searing harmonica, electric guitar, banjo, mandolin, and upright bass come together as Las Niñas Muertas celebrate the timeless music of the Grateful Dead.
Featuring Annette Taborn, Kellie Garmire, Juliet Gobert, Mary Curtin, and Toni Valenta, the band invites everyone to dance, sing along, and share in the music.
Northern California songwriter Juliet Gobert is known for her crystal-clear voice and original “Back Porch Americana.” She has performed at festivals and venues throughout the West, including WorldFest, Strawberry Music Festival, High Sierra Music Festival, the Kate Wolf Music Festival, the Nevada Theatre, and the Elko Cowboy Poetry Gathering.
Campus Pranksters
Wednesday, July 29th 6:00 to 9:00 PM
Born from the popular, monthly Band Beyond Description gathering at the Crazy Horse Saloon, Campus Pranksters brings together a rotating cast of regional musicians united by their love of the Grateful Dead, musical improvisation, and heartfelt live performance.
