Sierra Stages and the Miners Foundry will present Marjorie Prime on Wednesday, October 17, 2018. Marjorie Prime, written by Jordan Harrison and directed by Sandra Rockman, is the next installment of Theater By the Book, a series of informal play readings for the community.
It’s the age of artificial intelligence, and 85-year-old Marjorie has a handsome new companion programmed to help her recount the distant, fading memories of her life. What would we remember, and what would we forget, if given the choice?
Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and the performance begins at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free with a $10 suggested donation. Advance tickets are available online, in person or by phone at the Miners Foundry, or at the door. Tickets are also available at Briar Patch Co-Op. Ticketing fees do not apply for purchases made through the Miners Foundry Box Office.
