Nevada City School of the Arts is celebrating twenty years of artAMOT Posters in education with A Matter of Taste on Saturday, March 14, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.

A Matter of Taste is an extraordinary event benefiting Nevada City School of the Arts.

The evening will feature a silent auction, complimentary glass of wine, a no host bar, plus DJ Brian Hartman – HeartBass.

Tickets are $20 in Advance and $25 at the Door.

All proceeds benefit the art, music, performance and field study program at Nevada City School of the Arts.

Nevada City School of the Arts will present the 15th annual A Matter of Taste on Saturday, March 9, 2013.  Doors open at 6:00 p.m.  For fifteen years the community has gathered to support the Nevada City School of the Arts comprehensive arts and environmental programs while at the same time enjoying a whimsical and elegant evening with friends.  The wine is robust, the food is delicious, the items are alluring, and the party is unparallelled.  Eat, Drink, & Be Merry!  Bid High & Bid Often!  Tickets are $20.00 in Advance and $25.00 at the Door.  Tickets are available online, by phone or in person at the Nevada City Box Office, (530) 265-5462, or in person at Briar Patch Co-Op.

A Matter of Taste

 

Transport yourself back in time to a chic 1960’s cocktail party in New York City. Ladies dig out that amazing vintage party dress, gentlemen grab your fedora and some dapper dud’s for this years “MAD About the ARTS ~ AMOT goes retro” our 18th annual A Matter of Taste fundraiser for Nevada City School of the Arts, Saturday, March 5th 6 to 11pm at the Miners Foundry in Nevada City.

Doors open at 6pm with a complimentary glass of wine, 2 no-host bars, 1960s-style appetizers & classic cocktails, swanky music by NCSA music teacher Heather Grove and SierraCapella and hundreds of fine items in a silent auction. Following the auction, DJ Brian Hartman will spin the tunes for dancing with abandon. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door.  Bid early, bid often!

Nevada County’s premier fundraising event has better auction items than ever before, and more room to view them! In addition to beautiful works of art from local artists and our students, the silent auction is a collection of the practical to the unusual to the one-of-a-kind. Bid on trips to New Orleans, Costa Rica and Bourbon Tasting in Kentucky; Vacation rentals for
skiing, summer fun, and romantic coastal get-aways; tickets to festivals and concerts, and as always, generous donations from local restaurants, artists, jewelers, health clubs, farmers and more. The auction tables are full of treasures at A Matter of Taste.

One of the first public charter schools in the state of California, NCSA serves a diverse population of over 400 K-8 students, offering foundational and curriculum-integrated arts instruction, as well as music, dance, theater, film and other electives. Unlike most traditional public schools, NCSA must pay to rent facilities, and thus relies on fundraisers such as A Matter of Taste to fund its highly enriched curriculum.

A Matter of Taste celebrates its 20th year supporting arts in education at Nevada City School of The Arts with an evening in the Roaring 20’s. It’s going to be a swinging good time!

With hundreds of silent auction items, two no-host bars providing wine, beer, cocktails and soft drinks, abundant appetizers and live music with The Earls of Newtown, this is going to be a night to cut loose.

Dress in your best 20’s fashion, or, in your everyday jeans. But don’t forget your dancing shoes!

All money raised will support the art, music and Field studies programs at Nevada City School of The Arts.

For 21 years our community has gathered to celebrate and support the Nevada City School of the Arts comprehensive arts and environmental programs while at the same time enjoying a whimsical and elegant evening with friends.

Celebrating 21 years of supporting arts in education, Nevada City School of The Arts presents this year’s 80’s themed AMOT. It’s going to be an amazing time!

We’ll have the Osborn/Woods and Stone Halls filled with hundreds of fine items in a Silent Auction. We’re offering a complimentary glass of wine, 2 no-host bars, and a variety of delicious appetizers. Following the Silent Auction, The Big Whoop will perform so bring your dancing shoes! Come dressed in your best 80’s fashion, or come as you are! All money raised will support the Arts and Field studies programs at Nevada City School of The Arts.

We are currently gathering donations of items, services, recreational opportunities and art, from the practical, to the unconventional, to the fanciful! Use the form below if you’d like to add your ingredient to the mix that makes our silent auction so tempting.
