The Bands
Tim High and The Mighty with Bob Woods
Tim High grew up in New jersey and started singing with bands in his early teens. Over the course of a dozen years he performed around upstate New York, New York City, Boston, Philadelphia, and anywhere in between. His skills were honed in various genres of music ranging from hard rock to a subtler jazz / funk style, his voice being described as both soothing and powerful. Following his heart, he left the east coast in the summer of 1998, heading west.
Without a destination in mind, Tim knew he had found a home while visiting the Sierra mountains. Having brought along, and learning to play a guitar, Tim now enjoys a full musical collaboration with his current band, the eponymous Tim High and the Mighty.
Made up of long time veterans of the local music scene, Tim High & The Mighty bring new life to good time rock ‘n roll. Drawing from a diverse selection of tunes ranging from classics to deep tracks, you’ll hear everything from hard rock to jam, funk to reggae. This unique combination of styles allows the band to create a synergy that will have your soul grooving and your dancing feet moving.
Bob Woods plays guitar, steel guitar, and saxophone and has been playing professionally since 1971.
Bob has played with many of his heroes including Albert Lee, Bill Kirchen, Tiny Moore, Ramblin Jack Ellio, the Surfaris, the Earles of Newtown, and Stardust Cowboys.
The Bob Woods Trio has played monthly at the Crazy Horse Saloon in Nevada City, CA for over twelve years.
Bob is a member of the Sacramento Western Swing Hall of Fame and has released seven albums of original music.
Bob is also a railroad steam locomotive engineer with over twenty-five years of experience.
Jay Tausig
Jay Tausig has been performing in the regional area since 1998.
As a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, Jay has recorded and released dozens of original albums and has contributed to projects globally.
Most recently Jay’s been an active member of Astral Magic (Finland) and Interstellar Art Company (Berlin) as a drummer and guitarist, as well as handling production, drums and synth for Chromium Hawk Machine (Black Widow Records, Italy) with Helios Creed (Chrome) and Nik Turner (Hawkwind).
Jay also performs solo covering a wide selection of music from a variety of genres and styles. Covers, Originals and Improvisation.
In summer / fall of 2022 Jay is releasing 2 new albums with Flickknife Records (London) with plans to tour there in the works.
Tyler Foote Walkers
The Tyler Foote Walkers started this project last Easter, in the strict mindset of combining strait roots Chicago harp blues with a chicken pickin’ twist on the side, along with original material.
We are happy to say we did not meet our original vision at all!
Instead we used that as the basis of creativity to expand our sound into directions that surprise US even sometimes!
This group is lead by young minds with one of the most human approaches to music we have been a part of, which is… “What if we try this?”
Majik Band
Majik Band formed in November of 2019, and during the beginning of the C19 pandemic, created a musical connection of pure rehearsals and no gigs! Well, there were a few parties here and there.
In this period the band created their debut album “Mycelium”, an 11 original track album that is one of a kind.
These three musicians found their unique sound in a never seen before changing and exciting world.
The music follows that sentiment of changing and exciting on this debut album.
After playing regionally in the Sierra Nevada foothills in 2021 the band ended the year recording another set of tunes to be released one by one as they get finished in 2022.
Majik Band pulls influence from many moments of musical time and space and from a mix of inspirations.
There is a song for everyone!
Based in Northern California and inspired by life’s blessings and challenges all while immersed in the mycelial renaissance… We hope you can enjoy the Majik!
Caltucky
Best known as a local Gold Country region band, Caltucky blends bluegrass, country, and soul music with modern jam improvisation that packs the house and gets the crowd boogy-ing down.
Influenced by the community, culture, and sounds of the region, they perform music that speaks to fans across the musical spectrum.
Their signature style has become synonymous with a diverse collection of melodies and compositions, performing their take on covers, traditional, and original songs.
This band is on the rise, and nothing can stop them from achieving the success they work so hard for.
Stay tuned, and keep an ear out for Caltucky!
Bob Woods & Juliet Gobert
Juliet Gobert (Swampbilly, Heifer Belles) and Bob Woods (Swampbilly, Earles of Newtown) have been playing music in the area for many years and will be playing mostly original music.
Nu-Salt Laser Light Shows International
Will seduce your eyes and dancing feet after sundown with an amazing laser show synced to the music!
