The Foundry Sings!

December 18, 2022 @ 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Holiday Carols Sing Along!

The rafters of the 160 year old Stone Hall at the Miners Foundry Cultural Center will ring on Sunday, December 18, 2022, from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. for a Holiday Carols Sing Along special edition of The Foundry Sings!  Doors open at 2:30 p.m. and the singing begins at 3:00 p.m.  The Miners Foundry features a no host full bar and snacks available for purchase.

Rod Baggett, choral conductor at Nevada Union High School and Seven Hills Middle School, along with multi-instrumentalist and singer Jonathan Meredith, will lead voices unified in song.  This unique countywide experience aims to gather people of all ages and singing levels under one roof to share in the power of song.  The Foundry Sings is inspired by the popular Choir! Choir! Choir!, a weekly drop-in singing event based in Toronto, Canada, which has attracted professional musicians such as Rufus Wainwright to sing with the group.

Holiday Carols Sing Along!

This event is a special holiday edition of the popular The Foundry Sings events held quarterly at the Miners Foundry.  Take a break from your holiday preparations or pop over from Victorian Christmas to join your friends and neighbors in song!

Miners Foundry Cultural Center

The quarterly event is a fundraiser for the Miners Foundry Cultural Center’s building improvement fund.  For nearly 160 years the historic Miners Foundry Cultural Center has been the hub of arts, culture, and community in Nevada County.  Each year over 400 events are hosted in our beautiful halls including signature events presented by the Miners Foundry.  Individually, these events represent how diverse the arts are in our community, and together they make up the rich cultural fabric we have come to enjoy for generations. Membership supports ongoing events at Miners Foundry such as these and many others.

Safety Procedures

The health and safety of our guests, staff and community is the highest priority at the Miners Foundry.  Beginning April 1, 2022 there are no safety protocols in effect for Miners Foundry presented indoor public events.  Please click here for more info and FAQs.
